Your blood is racing, your legs feel like jello, your hand are sweating and you can hear your heart. All of this is what happens to an MMA fan before a really good fight airs. It could be a prelim fight or the main event, and it would be awesome if every main event was that exciting but some main events are just dead giveaways. Tate vs Rousey was a very anticipated fight and both fighters are good fighters who have their own strengths. Tate is a takedown artist, and Ronda is a Judo master who breaks arms. Any semi good MMA predictor would have Ronda winning. But yet there were a lot of people who were convinced Miesha would win.
Now I understand if you are her friend or family and have to cheer for her, but if you are betting on this fight, how in the world could you put money down on Miesha. That is the problem with the preview videos and pre fight hype. The promoters want to sell tickets, they need to hype both fighters up and make it seem like it can go either way. And yes I know that any MMA fight can end at any minute by any method. Silva could get punched in the right spot and knocked out by an amateur fighter. This sport is unpredictable and that factor should always be included.
But I do believe that the promoters should stop tricking everyone into believing their hype. It is just my opinion, but i guess it is funny to see the unexperienced fans fall to the hype, easy money for me.
