On Dec. 29, UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos will put his belt on the line for the second time against the man he took the title from in November of 2011, Cain Velasquez.
The title fight, set to serve as the main event of UFC 155 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, is one of the most significant bouts of the year in the heavyweight division and will prove if dos Santos’ 64-second knockout of Velasquez at UFC on FOX 1 was a lucky punch, or if he is truly the superior competitor.
Even though the fight is still over two months away, dos Santos has already started media duties to build up anticipation for the match up. The Brazilian conducted an interview with ESPN where he predicted a repeat performance against Velasquez, talked about the man who will challenge for the title after UFC 155, Alistair Overeem, and shared his thoughts on the next light heavyweight title bout between Jon Jones and Chael Sonnen.
